HTC confirms 8X to get Windows Phone 8.1

Even though Microsoft has stated numerous times that all current Windows Phone 8 handsets should be eligible for 'futurity Os upgrades', referring presumably to Windows Phone eight.one, the question if OEMs are as committed is a concern. Specifically if HTC (or even Samsung) are all the same willing to support 8.1, expected to be announced in April.

Today, HTC took to Reddit for an AMA, or Inquire Me Anything, where questions were fielded from the audience nigh Android. Notwithstanding, a member of the audience asked HTC straight if they were "done" with Windows Telephone.

The United states Production Team for HTC were surprisingly forthright in their reply:

"To say "done with Windows Phone" is a pretty blanket argument. I don't remember a company such every bit ourselves tin can ever say that point bare. As strong partners of Microsoft, nosotros're working with Microsoft on the Bluish update on Windows Phone 8X and will continue to accept new products into consideration.
