How to improve chances of getting tridents?

Thankfully, you can improve your chances of getting tridents by getting the looting enchantment for your diamond sword or iron sword which raises the trident drop rate by an additional one percent for every extra level of looting. Unfortunately, this won't increase the spawning rate so while it is possible to find trident throwing in any water body. For the best chance of getting one, you need to spend more time visiting ocean ruins where drowns spawn more commonly.
